Dear Valued Partner,
Remember that phrase “don’t sweat the small stuff?” Some live everyday by this maxim. For those of us working with dangerous goods, however, the little details make all the difference for safe and compliant transportation. In this newsletter, we’re taking a look at the little things, and how they can amount to big issues if not adhered to when shipping hazardous materials.
Join us as we examine upcoming changes, albeit minor updates, to the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) in 2022. It may come as no surprise that the biggest area of change involves the shipment of lithium batteries.
Similarly, we look at the necessities of shipping small quantities of dangerous goods as excepted quantities, and how and when this classification can be applied.
Finally, we break down the necessities of hazardous materials package segregation for marine shipments – often the most complex system and rules apply in this circumstance.
So, while the “small stuff” may matter, there’s no need to sweat, because our knowledgeable ICC Compliance team has you covered and we’re available to help any time!
Thank you,
Pat Williams
